International Socio-Cultural Project on the Development of Regional Television SHKOLA

Fundamentals:

- the Project is noncommercial;
- the Project is international and assumes cooperation in the sphere of cinema and television and sharing experiences between Belarus, another post-Soviet countries and countries of the border area;
- the Project contributes to the forming an active citizens` position and to the development of creative activity in the cultural field for all Belarusian regions.

The Project Concept:

On the basis of the regional broadcasting company SKIF ( in Borisov) our initiative group creates a TV association which unites all local TV companies and another socio-cultural resources in the city (such as youth theaters, school TV and others). This association is supposed to work autonomously and to produce qualitative television products ( i.e. teleserials, teleplays, movies etc.). The given scheme of regional TV development can be applied to any regional broadcasting company of Belarus.

The Project General Object:

Qualitative development of regional TV as a tool for shaping an active citizens` position and increasing their creative potential in the regions of Belarus.

The Project Objectives:
- building-up a professional team (personnel selection and training);
-creation of an original project (scenario, director's draft, budget, plan);
-promotion of the project;
- supplement of the available technical base ( mobilization of investment).

Project Stages:

1. Making a live-action movie, technically assisted by the SKIF TVcompany (Borisov), with the participation of the Triumph youth theatre (Borisov) and DEKOS school TV (school № 24, Borisov).
2. Making and distribution of tele-versions of different amateur theatres and drama schools` performances in Borisov.
3. Transfer of experience to the other Belarusian regional television channels (via forums, conferences, master classes, advisory support etc.)
